Welcome to our new site! You’ll notice that our name has changed. Since the terms "Squaw" or "Indienne" are offensive, we decided, out of respect for the nations, to change the name of the lake. After consultations with the MRC and the Algonquin nation of Kitigan Zibi, a new name was chosen: "Lac Shingwôk," which means "White Pine" in the Algonquin language.

The outfitter has also changed its name and is now called "Pourvoirie Tisonagan Outfitter," which means "Trap" in Algonquin, in connection with the trapping series broadcast on YouTube.

Fully equipped cottages

The outfitter offers you a choice of 8 cottages, 7 of which are located very close to the lodge and one at the other end of the lake. The ones near the lodge are heated and powered by electricity. The large camp, located 3 kilometers away and accessible only by boat, is fully functional with propane. All are equipped with a kettle, dishes, glasses, utensils, coffee maker, microwave, pillows, and mattress covers.
