Welcome to our corner of paradise located in the heart of Pontiac in the Outaouais region.

Welcome to our new website!

You will notice we changed our name. The term "Squaw” or “Indian" being offensive, and out of respect for the nations, we have decided to change the lakes’ name.
After consultations with the MRC and the Algonquin Nation of Kitigan Zibi, a new name has been chosen:
"Lac Shingwôk," which means "White Pine" in Algonquin language. The outfitter has also changed its name to "Pourvoirie Tisonagan Outfitter," which means "Trap" in Algonquin language, in association with the trapping series broadcast on YouTube.

Comfortable Camps & Cabins

The Tisonagan Outfitter offers eight cabins, seven near the lodge and one at the other end of the lake. Those near the lodge are heated and lit by electricity. The large camp, located 3 kilometres away and accessible only by boat, is fully powered by propane. All cabins have pot, dishes, glasses, utensils, a coffee maker, a microwave, pillows, and mattress covers.
